1. We accepted the truth; We had an unmanageable life due to the loss of choice, power and control over our addictions — Without spiritual help, we were headed towards jails, institutions, or death.
CB-1 Principle: Acceptance (Romans 7:14-25)

2. We mustered up a mustard seed of faith, that God could and would restore us to sanity, a sound mind and right relationship with Him through His Son Jesus Christ.
CB-2 Principle: Faith (Mark 5:34, Luke 17:19, Mark 5:15, Luke 18:42, Matthew 8:13, Mark 5:15, 2 Timothy 1:7, Matthew 17:20, 2 Corinthians 5:18)

3. We made a decision to turn our will and our lives over to Jesus Christ. At that moment of complete surrender, we received the Holy Spirit and had a spiritual awakening.
CB-3 Principle: Surrender (Romans 10:9-10, Acts 2:38, Acts 4:31, Ephesians 1:13)

4. We remained willing to finish the full CB-12 process and began daily prayer and meditation on God’s Word. We then, through the power, help, and guidance of the Holy Spirit, made a thorough moral inventory to remove all hindrances to accessing the Manifest Presence of God.
CB-4 Principle: Self-Examination (Willingness, Honesty) (Colossians 4:2, Romans 12:12, Isaiah 1:19-20, 2 Corinthians 8:11, Lamentations 3:40, 2 Corinthians 13:5, Hebrews 12:15)

5. We confessed the exact nature of our wrongs to God, ourselves and another person to teardown strongholds and be delivered from bondage. CB-5 Principle: Confession (Humility) (1 John 1:9, James 5:16, Psalm 38:18, Psalm 32:5-7, Acts 19:18)

6. Our defects begin to slip away and we grow in godly character as we follow Christ, yielding to and walking by His Spirit each day.
CB-6 Principle: Submission (Galatians 5:16-26, Ephesians 4:22-23, Matthew 4:19, James 3:13-18, Romans 6:11-18, 2 Corinthians 3:18)

7. We humbly repented and renounced our former nature. Resting in the finished work at the Cross, we received God’s forgiveness and embraced our new identity in Christ.

CB-7 Principle: Restoration: (2 Corinthians 4:2, Titus 2:11-13, Galatians 2:20, 2 Corinthians 5:17, 1 Peter 2:9)

8. We took responsibility, noting every person we harmed. We yielded to God’s leading to make amends, and pursue restoration and reconciliation.

CB-8 Principle: Forgiveness: (Luke 6:31, Proverbs 16:6-7, Romans 12:18, 2 Corinthians 8:11-12)

9. We got into action, pursuing direct amends with those we had hurt, except when doing so would cause further harm to them or others.

CB-9 Principle: Reconciliation (Courage) (Matthew 5:23-24, Matthew 5:9, Matthew 6:14-15, Acts 24:16)

10. We live a life of ongoing self-examination, taking inventory when resentment or fear resurface, remaining accountable to a mentor or sponsor. When we are wrong, we promptly admit it, make amends, and repent.

CB-10 Principle: Vigilance: (1 Peter 5:8, Proverbs 4:23, 2 Corinthians 13:5, 1 Corinthians 10:12, Hebrews 12:15-16, Galatians 5:1, Galatians 6:1, 2 John 1:8)

11. We continually deepen our relationship with Christ and pursue spiritual growth by seeking the presence and guidance of the Holy Spirit through daily time in the Bible, prayer, worship, meditation, and fellowship with other believers.

CB-11 Principle: Spiritual Growth: (John 15:4–5, Jeremiah 29:13, James 4:8, Colossians 4:2, Joshua 1:8, Ephesians 6:10–18, 1 Thessalonians 5:16–18, Hebrews 10:24–25, Romans 12:2)

12. Having been sanctified by the Holy Spirit through the CB-12 Program, we continue towards a path of maturity, practicing Biblical principles in all of our affairs, and we carry this message to others as Ambassadors for Christ!

CB-12 Principle: Ambassadors: (Philippians 2:4, 2 Corinthians 5:18-20, 1 Corinthians 9:24-25, Galatians 5:13-14, Isaiah 61:1-3)
